What We Offer
Forklift Training Courses
From everyday counterbalance and pallet truck courses through to specialist VNA, sideloaders, and instructor qualifications — all training is delivered on-site to AITT and HSE L117 standards.
Counterbalance Forklift
Full novice to experienced operator courses for counterbalance forklifts. Covers pre-use inspections, safe manoeuvring, load handling, stacking and de-stacking at various heights, and all relevant health and safety legislation. Typically 1-5 days depending on experience level.
Reach Truck
Gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to safely operate reach trucks in racked warehouse environments. Covers high-level stacking, narrow aisle manoeuvring, pre-use checks, and safe working practices. Ideal for warehouse operatives looking to expand their skill set.
Pallet Truck & Stacker
Covers safe loading, manoeuvring, and pre-use inspection routines for powered pallet trucks and pedestrian-operated stacker trucks. Suitable for warehouse and logistics operatives who regularly handle palletised goods.
Refresher & Conversion
Refresher training is recommended every 3-5 years to maintain compliance and keep operators' skills up to date. Conversion courses allow certified operators to gain qualifications on additional truck types, typically completed in 1-2 days.
Telescopic Handler
Provides operators with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to safely operate telescopic handlers. Covers load charts, stability, safe lifting practices, and site-specific hazard awareness. Suitable for construction, agriculture, and industrial environments.
Very Narrow Aisle (VNA)
VNA trucks operate in aisles too narrow for conventional forklifts. This course covers safe operation of both man-up and man-down VNA trucks, including guided and free-ranging systems. A VNA qualification is in high demand and can give operators a real advantage in the job market.
PPT (Rider)
Rider-on powered pallet trucks are used extensively in distribution and logistics environments. This course covers safe operation, pre-use inspections, load handling, and pedestrian awareness for rider-operated pallet trucks.
MEWP
Covers the safe operation of mobile elevated work platforms including scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and boom lifts. Includes pre-use checks, risk assessment, safe working at height, and emergency procedures.
Pivot Steer
Pivot steer trucks combine the manoeuvrability of a reach truck with the load capacity of a counterbalance. This course covers the specific handling characteristics, safe operation, and pre-use inspection of pivot steer trucks.
Tow Tug
Tow tugs are widely used in manufacturing, airports, and distribution facilities. This course covers safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers, load security, route planning, and pedestrian awareness.
Medium Level Order Picker
Medium level order pickers allow operators to elevate to shelf height for efficient picking. This course covers safe platform operation, load handling, racking awareness, and pre-use inspection routines.
High Level Order Picker
High level order pickers elevate operators to heights of 10 metres and above. This course covers the specific safety requirements of working at height, pre-use checks, fall prevention, and safe platform operation.
Multi Directional
Multi-directional forklifts can travel in any direction, making them ideal for handling long loads in confined spaces. This specialist course covers the unique handling characteristics and safety considerations of these versatile trucks.
Sideloader
Sideloaders are specialist trucks designed for handling long, heavy, or awkward loads in narrow aisles. This course covers safe load handling techniques, pre-use inspection, stability principles, and the specific risks associated with sideloader operation.
Crane
Covers the safe operation of overhead gantry cranes and mobile cranes including slinging and lifting operations, load assessment, pre-use inspections, and legal requirements for crane operators.
Vertical Stock Picker
Vertical stock pickers are used for efficient picking at varying heights. This course covers safe operation, load capacity limits, pre-use inspections, and the safe working practices required for elevated picking operations.
Emergency Rope Escape
Essential safety training for operators who work at height. Covers emergency descent techniques using rope escape systems, legal requirements, risk assessment, and practical rope escape exercises in line with HSE guidance.
Instructor Courses
Develop your own in-house training capability with our instructor courses. Designed for experienced operators who wish to become qualified forklift instructors. Covers instructional techniques, assessment methods, legal responsibilities, and practical teaching skills.

Training Provider
Lift Line UK is registered with the AITT (Association of Industrial Truck Trainers) - the UK's leading professional body for powered industrial truck training. Our accreditation is actively monitored every 12 months to ensure we continue to meet AITT's exacting quality standards.
When an operator successfully completes their training with us, the result is submitted directly to AITT, who issue a unique registration number. This number appears on the operator's certificate and verified card, enabling employers and enforcement authorities to independently verify the qualification. Only registered providers can submit these registration records.
The AITT is a member of the ABA (Accrediting Bodies Association), alongside ITSSAR, RTITB, and NPORS - the four main accrediting bodies for industrial truck training in the UK.
